Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the purpose of the Coalition?

Our focus is on reducing pet overpopulation and improving animal welfare by implementing change.

Does the coalition want to form one large rescue group in NJ?

No.   The coalition is working toward our goals at a different level.   The coalition will not be involved in hands on rescue.  However, the coalition can be a place for networking and sharing information between member rescue groups.

How many members does the Coalition currently have?

The Coalition has eleven rescue groups and a handful of individuals as members.  For a list of the rescue groups, see the Who We Are button above.

If I join the coalition, what’s in it for me?

As an indirect benefit, members of the Coalition will enjoy networking opportunities with other rescue groups.  Also, as we work toward our goals, the fewer homeless animals there are, the less that need rescuing, making your job easier.

However, the major goal of the Coalition is to bring together all rescue groups as “Voices in Unity”.  The Coalition is working for change for the overall good of animals.

I’d like to help animals, but I don’t have time to research all the issues and I’d rather not blindly give my support.

To join the coalition, you only need to support our Mission Statement.  The coalition does not expect every member to agree on the various issues facing animal rescue or support every coalition initiative.

We respect the rights of those groups that do not wish to join the coalition.  By joining the coalition, you strengthen your voice in the community and the state.  Only when we work together can we implement change.
