Who We Are:

History

On January 11, 2002, members of different animal rescue groups came together to discuss forming a coalition.  At the end of the meeting, everyone had agreed to the following statements.

More needs to be done at a higher level to solve the pet overpopulation problem.  Rescuing homeless animals, while an important effort, does little to eliminate the root cause of pet overpopulation.

By joining forces, a coalition will have a stronger voice in the community.

Working together, a coalition of rescue groups can accomplish goals that individual rescue groups acting on their own cannot.

After months of round table discussions, the coalition was officially incorporated on August 5th, 2002.

Our focus is on reducing pet overpopulation and improving animal welfare by implementing change.
